When it came to public speaking, I had my own share of misconceptions: (a)-public speaking was a gift that people are born with, (b)-Public speaking is more of an art than anything else, hence it can’t be taught. But, I nevertheless signed up for Own-the-stage course by Dirish, of course with good amount of apprehensions and scepticism. All my apprehensions were broken down one-by-one from the very start of the program. You start believing in the program when you see that Dirish is not teaching you some quick hacks, cheat-sheet, body language, unnatural voice modulation and such stuff. He teaches you the 'no-nonsense' way of how to put your thoughts clearly in front of your audience. Dirish distills his (close to) 2 decades of public speaking experience into 6 weeks course that involves one-on-one coaching and delivering speeches in front of the group every single week. All you need to do is to trust the process and put in an honest effort, the results are then a by-product of it. I was part of his 23rd batch of Own-The-Stage program. I highly recommend Dirish’s course to anyone looking to enhance their public speaking skill.
